Georgian Technical University (GTU) LEPL – autonomy, wide profile higher educational institution, as a member of European University Association (EUA), guides by the principles of Charter of European Universities. The institution is focused on adoption and implementation of both Georgian and European Education Standards. Multidiscipline education programs of Professional, Bachelor, Master and Doctoral Studies, implemented in GTU, provide integration of Higher Education Institution (HEI) into the Bologna Process, considering requirements of the country and respectively, preparation of high quality specialists. GTU, during its 100 years’ experience has obtained leader position among Georgian universities and plays a significant role in the world scientific and educational world.

Presently, GTU structure is composed of the following main structural units conducting educational and scientific activities: 12 faculties, 15 scientific-research institutes, central and faculty libraries, computer and examination centers, learning, scientific and research and expertize laboratories and etc. Teaching is conducted in Georgian and foreign languages. Presently we have 22516 active students and 4608 employed staff (academic, scientific, invited, administrative and supplementary staff).

GTU provides high quality of academic higher education, innovative scientific researches in the fields and specialties of engineering, natural sciences, law, agriculture, humanitarian, social sciences, healthcare, education and business administration, arts and inter-directional fields (especially focused on European studies, archeology, architecture, public management, military).

 

GTU during last 80 years had 60% of graduates of specialists of Georgian engineers, chemistry and scientific industry specialists of Georgia.
